The room was ok size ,we were with a small child that slept with us on the bed.
I did not like the hotel and will not stay there again, the staff at the reception was rude, no help with baggage, the staff was with bad English. the location was very noisy, i could feel the trams in the 4th floor, imagine on 1st and second. We had to pay for internet.
Very good hotel and excellent staff. The room was very nicely decorated, new and perferctly clean. Breakfast was also good. I do recommend this hotel. Staff at check-in and throughout the stay was really super. The website hotel.com allowed me to book a room for 4 people and 2 queen- size beds, but this was a mistake of the website. Hotel staff gave us a bigger room (one twin bed plus a sofa-bed) at no extra cost, although the hotel was nearly full and was extremely helpful (also with internet use, etc.).
One minor complaint: tv in the breakfast room. The volume was too loud and set on a channel and porgram of no interest to anybody there (it was in Italian language and the people were all foreigners!!!). The volume was eventually lowered by a waitress. If you really want the tv on, set it on cnn or similar... Second (but this is not a complaint, just a suggestion): the hotel is not located in the city centre (you need to walk 5 minutes to the nearest metro station and then a few stops and you are there), so if you want the city centre, this is not the best location.
No wireless in the rooms, only one internet cable in a double room so one laptop could connect at a time and cannot connect with smart phone as no wireless available in the rooms. Ac was not good, nobody could send hot water to the room for a tea at 1:30 am and no equipment in the room to heat water for a tea. Had to walk a little too far to reach the metro station.
Close to shoping area, nice designe, good breakfest.
the room was spacious, and quite clean. the hotel has standard holiday inn features. they provide slippers, bathrobe, kettle for tea in the room. breakfast was good as well. if you are planning to visit Milan by car, you can use parking of hotel which costs 12 euro/day. otherwise, you can also park outside the street. the location was alright. there is a direct tram that goes to duomo every 8-9 minutes. Then you can use metro to go to other places.
the bed was not very comfortable, one side of it was sunken down a bit. internet was 3 euro/hour.
We had a big room, that had been newly renovated. The hotel is clean and classy. There is a big selection of breakfast and there are 3 tramlines and 1 bus line next to the hotel and a 7-10 min walk from Garibaldi st. otherwise you can take tramline 2 or 4 to the metro. Great location and great standard of the hotel. To get to Malpensa from the hotel take tram 2 or 4 outside the hotel to Lanza station and then 1 stop to Cardono st. In Cardon st. the Malpensa Express will take you directly to the airport, it really easy.
The hotel staff are very bad at speaking other languages than italian, and they tend to get fustrated because of the language barrier. But it's the same all over Milan, regarding missing languages skills.
rooms are very small and very close to eachother.
staff very helpfull, easy reach to centre via metro
It was a perfect, luxury hotel.
Location; it might have been closer to the center
the always smiling ready to help hotel staff
the sheets weren't changed every day.
We had stayed the previous week en route to the Venuto and were well received on our return to the hotel. The bar had a friendly ambience, snacks are free, and service attentive. The key attraction is the proximity to the Garibaldi Station which is a short walk away enabling us to catch a 6.00 am train with confidence and the minimum of sleep loss.
Proximity to Garibaldi Station. We were looking for a stop-over visit on the way to Verona. Holiday Inn fitted the bill. Close to station and not too hard to find on foot. It would have helped to have had instructions to leave station from platform 20 exit onto Via Pepe.
The location was perfect for this business trip
Nice, modern rooms.
Airconditioning not good especially on the second floor rooms.
No aircon during the night! Room temp hit 30deg not a pleasant nights sleep!!
